A Shady Kentucky Derby Day

What a great day we had! Mike and Wendy Cupps brought Churchill Downs to Shady Canyon, Irvine. They hosted a fabulous Kentucky Derby Day Party complete with race betting, mint juleps, live music, casino games, and tons of fun for the kids. I didn't win a dime, but the day was awesome.

Nike Pays Homage to Kobe Bryant and Aston Martin

What's the best way to pay tribute to two of the greatest? A high priced sneaker of course.
Nike teamed up with Kobe Bryant and Aston Martin and released the Nike Hyperdunk Aston Martin-Kobe Pack. Why? Not really sure. The limited edition, 200 pairs, hit a special Staples Center store yesterday and retailed for a mere $700.00. It also came with a BB10 leather jacket.
The cool part, all proceeds from the shoe do directly to the LA84 foundation. The Foundation's mission is to serve youth through sport and to increase knowledge of sport and its impact on people’s lives. The LA84 Foundation supports a wide array of youth sports programming throughout Los Angeles.
Check out this video of Kobe jumping over a speeding Aston Martin-it's awesome!
